Despite the fact that the United States government seems to want nothing to do with solving global climate change, Al Gore wants everything to do with it. So he will be going to Bali to represent United States citizens that sign this petition:
With the time of the year when people are generally considered obligated to buy other people things rapidly approaching (or for some already here), I'm reminded of the fact that I hate buying people things. Not because I'm cheap, not because I'm lazy, not because it's so damn hard to find something you think someone will actually LIKE, but because it seems SO impersonal. I try to make things for people as much as I can, and I'll admit that I often have to resort to purchases.
