I talk a lot about capitalism and its downsides, my distaste for it, and some advantages that the future could hold if it were to see a cashless society. This fellow is doing something pretty ballsy that I admire, all in support of a moneyless society that he hopes to someday be a part of:

With the time of the year when people are generally considered obligated to buy other people things rapidly approaching (or for some already here), I'm reminded of the fact that I hate buying people things. Not because I'm cheap, not because I'm lazy, not because it's so damn hard to find something you think someone will actually LIKE, but because it seems SO impersonal. I try to make things for people as much as I can, and I'll admit that I often have to resort to purchases.

However, there are many websites that are here to help! I don't know what most, if any, of them are, but I do know one: Make Magazine.

In particular, I'd like to draw your attention to this great gift. It's both functional and badass!
